4-bedroom part-renovated house in Sadovo
120 m² -
This attractive and spacious village home is situated in the popular village of Sadovo, near the coastal city of Varna in Bulgaria. There are already several British families living there full time, some with young children who attend local schools. The village is only about 20 minutes from fabulous beach resorts such as Shkorpilovtsi, Galata and Varna South Beach. It is approximately 40 minutes from Varna International Airport.
The house has been renovated and re-configured by its current owner, whilst retaining its original rustic charm. There is still some work to be done, but the price includes some materials such as floor and wall tiles and additional bathroom fitments.

A huge amount of work has been carried out on this house. On the ground floor, the height of the rooms has been increased and a damp-proof membrane has been installed under the new concrete floor. On the upper floor, joists have been replaced and new wooden floor boards have been installed. The roof has been completely replaced with new beams, waterproof covering and new roof tiles. The electrical and plumbing systems have been replaced. Radiator central heating and domestic hot water are supplied by a wood burning stove which is in the living room. There is also an electric immersion heater and a separate boiler. The property benefits from having soak-away drainage for the kitchen sink, bath, shower and basins, plus a large septic tank for the toilets.
Some work is needed to finish the renovations on the house, such as completing the plasterboarding and tiling in the en suite shower room and the utility room/cloakroom. (Wall and floor tiles are available.) The kitchen units need to be fitted in the kitchen/dining room. Some of the original windows should be either repaired or replaced.
The large garden (850 sq.m) wraps around the front, side and rear of the house. There is a very large shed which has electric lights and many plug sockets – it is suitable for use as a workshop or as a “summer house”. There is a second shed whichis ideal for storing wood for the stove. The driveway is large enough for several cars.
The house was previously used as a permanent residence, but due to family commitments the owner has returned to the UK. It has therefore been left empty for a while and the garden needs tidying. With a little TLC this spacious house could make a wonderful family home or holiday cottage near the coast.
The house was purchased in 2005 for 31,000 Euros and has had around 25,000 Euros of renovation work done to it. The property is on sale at 18,000 Euros.
